The Sloth is the worlds slowest mammal. The Sloth can be identified by the number of claws it has. There are two types of Sloths: Two and Three toed. Sloths live their lives in the tree tops of Central and Southern South America. Sloths live their whole lives hanging from trees: mating, sleeping, and eating. These slow mammals rarely move when awake, and spend 15 to 20 hours every day sleeping. The Sloths diet consists of fruit, leaves, and shoots all from their home: the tree. So how doe the Sloth protect itself from its faster predators? The Sloth is so slow that it grows Algae on its coat so that it blends in with its habitat thanks to a little process known as natural selection. The Sloth is also an introvert who prefers to be nocturnal.
